You're not broken
Hey, I know things feel heavy right now. Maybe you’re sitting in the mess of it&the heartbreak, the disappointment, the failure you didn’t see coming.
Maybe you’ve been knocked down so many times you’ve started wondering if you even belong on your feet anymore.
But I want you to hear me, and I mean really hear me:
You’re not broken.
You’re not “too far gone.” You’re not beyond repair. You’re not some lost cause who’ll never figure it out. You are not your mistakes, your pain, or the things that didn’t work out.
You, my friend, are just in the middle of your comeback.
And listen-the middle is messy. It’s the part of the story where everything falls apart, where the hero doubts themselves, where it feels like nothing’s ever going to change. But the middle? It’s not the end.
Not even close.
The struggle doesn’t mean you’re failing.
I know it feels like it sometimes. When life keeps throwing punches and you’re too tired to keep dodging, it’s easy to believe the lie that this is just how it’s always going to be. That maybe you’re just not strong enough.
But struggling doesn’t mean you’re failing-it means you’re fighting. It means you’re still here, still pushing, still hoping for more even when it hurts. And that’s brave. That’s powerful.
You’re not broken. You’re becoming.
Comebacks take time.
Think about every great comeback story you’ve ever heard-the athlete who fought their way back after an injury, the entrepreneur who lost everything before building an empire, the person who walked through heartbreak and came out stronger.
What did they all have in common? They didn’t give up in the middle.
They kept going when it would’ve been easier to quit. They kept believing when the world told them it was over. And because of that, their story didn’t end in the struggle-it ended in victory.
Yours can, too.
But you’ve got to stick with it. You’ve got to trust that this middle place-the doubt, the exhaustion, the mess-is part of your story, not the whole thing. You’ve got to believe in your own comeback, even if no one else sees it yet.
If you’re in the middle, here’s what I want you to do:
1. Stop calling yourself broken.
You are healing. You are evolving. You are learning. And yes, that process can be painful-but that doesn’t mean you’re shattered beyond repair. Speak to yourself with kindness. You deserve it.
2. Take one small step forward.
When everything feels overwhelming, don’t focus on fixing your whole life overnight. Just take one step. Send the email. Make the call. Drink some water. Get out of bed. Small steps still count.
3. Surround yourself with hope.
Listen to the podcast that inspires you. Read the book that lifts you up. Talk to the friend who reminds you who you are. Let hope be louder than your fear.
4. Remember your track record.
You’ve survived every bad day you’ve ever had. Every heartbreak. Every disappointment. And you’re still here. That’s proof of your strength.
I know it’s hard right now. But you’re not broken-you’re rising. You’re growing. You’re getting ready for the part of your story where everything changes.
Your comeback is coming.
And when it does? It’s going to be beautiful.
I’m rooting for you. Always.
With love,
From Ance.
